I made a decision, now what?

Congratulations on your decision to follow Jesus Christ! Now that you’ve made this very important decision, you may be wondering about next steps on your journey with Jesus. Click here to download a  helpful book called “Start Here”. In it, the author shares his story of how he started his relationship with Christ.  Here are some other ways BOSS can help you  get started in your walk with Christ:

Daily Prayer and Bible Study:

Prayer is simply personal conversation with God. Choose a quiet time to be in personal fellowship with Him. Use this time to thank Him for His blessings in your life, and to ask Him for His help with your needs. Reading the Bible regularly is an important way to learn about what it means to be a follower of Christ. A good place to begin is in the book of John—make a commitment to read through John in the next thirty days and learn more about who Jesus Christ is. If you need a Bible, stop by the I Made a Decision Table at our weekend services and we will be happy to provide one for you.

Baptism:

Now that you have decided to receive Christ into your life, you can and should be baptized. Baptism is simply a public profession of your faith in Christ. We hold baptisms at private residences several times a year. To sign up for the next baptism service, please contact Pamela Alvarado at pamelada@bossonline.org.

Back to Basics Class:

This three-week Sunday class is designed to teach new believers who want a strong foundation for their walk with Jesus and want to learn how to apply the Bible in everyday life, share their faith and be assured of their salvation. The class provides a safe place for you to ask any question you may have and is a great way to connect with others at the church.

Join the BOSS Family Class:

Partnership at BOSS is your way of committing to the work God is doing in us and through us as a body of believers. By becoming a partner, we pray you will actively move from the sidelines and get into the game by attending service faithfully, participating in a community group, serving in a ministry and giving regularly.

Join a Community Group!

We believe one the greatest avenues for growth and life transformation take place in our community groups In a group you can experience acceptance and support, develop real relationships, grow spiritually and use your gifts to serve others.

Serve in a Ministry:

At BOSS, a key component of our Go BIG vision is serving. Many teams of volunteers ensure that our weekend experiences actually happen, and volunteers make up our Compassion and Outreach Team that goes out into the community multiple times a week to reach out to the community through a variety of outreaches.
