NEXT STEPS
If you want to follow Jesus and grow at Boss, we encourage you to check out these NEXT STEPS…
Our mission at BOSS is to follow Christ by loving God, loving others, serving our community and reaching the lost for Christ. We hope that you’ll see the amazing opportunities for you and your family to connect to the life of BOSS Church.
WORSHIP SERVICES
Whether you are a child, student, young adult or senior, there is a service at BOSS just for you. Join us at any of our weekly experiences for a time of worship where you will be challenged to grow spiritually and have an amazing time of fellowship with people in similar life situations as you.
ADULT WORSHIP: We have three dynamic weekend services that offer contemporary music, relevant messages and are fun! We invite you to come as you are, expect the unexpected
and leave different than you came.
REMIX (College & Twentysomethings): The Remix meets every other Tuesday night for inspiring music, relevant teaching, and opportunity to connect with other college and
twentysomethings from the Sacramento region.
YOUTH MINISTRY: BOSS is passionate about raising up the next generation of students who will impact their world. We do our best to provide environments where our junior and senior high students can come to know Jesus and have a personal relationship with Him. We offer a variety of events, activities, and services for students in 7th-12th grade. Our junior and senior high students meet for their own worship service during the 11:15 a.m. Sunday service.
BOSS KIDZ: The BOSS Kidz Ministry meets during our regular weekend services. We feature age-appropriate teaching and fun activities for kids in Kindergarten to sixth grade. Your kids will have an incredible time and the opportunity to build relationships with children their age. Our caring nursery volunteers provide safe, quality care and teaching for infants and toddlers during all services.
SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT GIVE AND SERVE
It’s about a relationship, not religion. We encourage you to engage in personal prayer time, daily Bible reading and attend weekend services regularly but also invite you to take advantage of opportunities to connect with others and grow at the church.
I MADE A DECISION: Your journey begins with the life-changing decision to accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior. The invitation to “raise your hand” and begin a personal relationship with Christ is offered at the end of every worship service and we have caring people ready to walk you through the process.
BAPTISM SERVICE: Once you have made the decision to receive Christ into your life, you should think about being baptized. We believe all believers should follow the Lord’s example when He was baptized by John (see Matthew 3). Jesus told John that he should be baptized to fulfill all righteousness. Though we do not believe it is a condition of salvation, baptism is a crucial part of our testimony that we indeed are Disciples of Jesus Christ. We hold baptism services several times a year and each service is preceded by a baptism class.
BACK TO BASICS CLASS: This three-week Sunday class is where we unpack the essentials of Christianity and help you build a strong foundation for your walk with Christ. We cover topics like prayer, baptism, and the Bible. It’s a relaxed and comfortable time where questions are welcomed and discussed.
COMMUNITY GROUPS: We believe one the greatest avenues for growth and life transformation to take place at BOSS is through our community groups. In a group, you will experience acceptance and support, develop friendships, grow spiritually and use your gifts to serve others. We have groups that meet throughout the week all over the Sacramento area and online.
JOIN THE BOSS FAMILY CLASS: In this class taught by our pastors and staff, you’ll get to know the BOSS story—how we started, what we believe, how we do church here and how you can become more active in serving and growing at BOSS. It’s also a great place to start getting connected to others at the church!
WORKSHOPS AND CLASSES: We frequently offer one-night workshops and short-term classes to provide other opportunities for growth.
GIVING: BOSS believes that we are commanded to give (Malachi 3:10) and that it’s our responsibility to steward God’s money with excellence. Resources given by our church family and partners are used to reach more people with the Gospel through ministry and service.
SERVING: AT BOSS, serving is huge! Volunteers ensure that our weekend services actually happen, and volunteers make up our Compassion and Outreach Team that goes out into the community multiple times a week to reach out and serve.
HELP AND SUPPORT
BOSS has a variety of ministries whose sole purposes are to support people in need of a helping hand.
COMMUNITY CARE: BOSS provides assistance in the form of care, prayer, and resources to those who are hurting, hospitalized, or discouraged. We are a ministry that cares about people and our desire is to connect them to resources that can help them through difficult situations. Pastors and teams are available to visit people in their homes during their time of need and visit the sick in the hospital offering prayer, support and encouragement.
VOLUNTEER LAY COUNSELING: When all you need is someone to talk to, BOSS has a ministry just for that. We offer lay counseling services providing one-on-one time with trained ministerial counselors to help you process whatever you are going through.
CELEBRATE RECOVERY: We invite you to participate in this ministry to experience change, allow God’s grace to help you solve life’s problems, and allow Him to release you from your addictive, compulsive, and dysfunctional behaviors that have been holding you back from authentic joy in your life. By working the steps and applying their biblical principles, you will begin to grow spiritually.
