FAQ'S
When and where does BOSS meet?
BOSS meets every Saturday evening at 6:00p.m. at 6528 44th Street and Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. in the gymnasium of Cosumnes River College, 8401 Center Parkway.
Do I have access to the Pastoral Staff?
You are welcome to speak with any of the pastoral staff following Sunday services or you can call 916.441.6228 or email them to set up an appointment.
How can I partner with BOSS?
The path to partnership at BOSS begins by attending Join the BOSS Partnership Class. This fun and information class, taught by our pastoral staff and key leaders, will provide you with an overview of Bayside’s history, mission, core values and structure. You will also have an opportunity to learn how you can partner with BOSS. To register for the next class, please contact the church office at 916.441.6228. You may also sign-up at the weekend services.
I’ve just accepted Jesus Christ. What’s Next?
Congratulations! You’ve made the most important decision of your life. We recommend you begin your new journey in Christs by attending our Back to the Basics Class.
This class is designed to teach new believers about building a strong foundation for their new life in Christ, learning how to apply the Bible in everyday life, sharing their faith and being assured of their salvation. Since all believers need to apply themselves regularly and consistently to His Word, prayer and worshiping with other believers, these essentials and more will be covered during the six-week class.
How do I join a community group?
Community Groups are the heart of BOSS. Each group provides a comfortable setting in which to build friendships, learn, grow and serve our community together. Community Groups are available for new believers, singles, couples, gender and interest-based groups. You can email communitygroups@bossonline.org to connect into a community group in your area or stop by the Community Group table at our weekend services.
How long do I have to wait to serve at BOSS?
You may get involved immediately! One way that we want to demonstrate our love to our church and community is by serving through BOSS. Explore how your passion, interest, talent and skills can best match a ministry best suitable for you to serve within our church and beyond our church walls by serving the needs in our community. Please feel free to email any ministry of interest by reviewing the ministries listed in “Opportunities for Service”. If you’re not sure where to begin, you might want to participate in Discovering Your Spiritual Gifts. For more information, contact karend@bossonline.org to sign-up for the next class.
Does BOSS have a place for my children?
Yes! Children and youth are one of our priorities at BOSS and we want to show our love and God’s grace to them. Visit their web pages for more information.
How can I continue to learn more about God?
Whether you’re a first timer, a regular attendee or a partner at BOSS, we want to provide you with a way to connect with the BOSS family and bring growth to your spiritual life. We encourage every one of our attendees to participate in a community group study and attend our weekend worship services. BOSS will soon offer more Sunday Equipping Classes—short-term classes on singular subjects like baptism, how to study the Bible, foundational truths of the Christian faith and more. These classes are designed to help bring a clear vision and understanding for each step of your spiritual journey. We also encourage you to attend a Catalyst Spiritual Growth Workshop, a one-night Bible study class on a challenging topic.
For more information, contact the church office or stop by the Spiritual Growth table at the weekend services.
I need prayer. Who should I contact?
You may fill out a prayer request on the Visitor/Welcome Card or Connection Card (for regular attendees) and place it in the offering basket. You may also drop your prayer request off at the Welcome Center table. Should you have prayer needs during the week, contact the BOSS Prayer Team at prayer@bossonline.org.
